Sr Security Engineer
The Sr Security Engineer is someone who will devise solutions to complex security and business needs while maintaining an alignment with the Company standards and procedures for a large enterprise. They must be able to create solutions for cross-enterprise complex problems in cloud, database, application, and infrastructure/endpoint security.
Our client's expectations for a candidate
5+ years with Firewalls, VPN, SEIM, IDS/IPS and malware analysis as well as security technology implementation and troubleshooting across all platforms.
Bachelor's in Information Systems or a related degree or equivalent job experience.
2+ years of security solution design, implementation and troubleshooting across all platforms.
Creates solutions for cross-enterprise problems in relation to:
Cloud, database, application, and infrastructure/endpoint security.
Guide and mentor SOC analysts and engineers as well as providing guidance and security consulting services to IT leadership.
Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend and plan implementation of new or updated information security technologies.
Provide level III support for escalated tickets.
Establish technical requirements in concert with architecture and risk management for connectivity, infrastructure, application, mobility, cloud, etc.
Perform product and solution life cycle management ensuring capacity, integrity and availability of all systems.
Lead and direct IT infrastructure and application penetration testing.
Perform root cause analysis for security and availability failure and direct the remediation of security related causes.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related degree or equivalent job experience.
2+ years of experience in security solution design, implementation and troubleshooting across all computer platforms.
5+ years of experience in security technology implementation and troubleshooting across all computer platforms as well as a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments.
Experience and hands-on knowledge with a variety of security technologies and processes (Firewall, VPN, SEIM, IDS/IPS, HIDS, malware analysis and protection, logical access controls. Content filtering technologies, forensics software, etc.)
Understanding of the best practices and integration techniques for the Cloud.
Solid understanding of change management, work prioritization, problem management, quality assurance and continuous improvement practices, etc.
CISSP highly preferred.
Good understanding of risk and compliance framework, SOX and PCI-DSS.
